We are seeking a Field Engineer to provide support for a Voice over IP (VOIP) modernization (VMOD) effort, including unified communications (UC) and contact center (CC) capabilities. As the Field Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting and supporting activities at the customer sites across the U.S.
This position is remote with extensive travel within the United States (approximately 75%).
This is a direct hire position with our client with an anticipated annual salary range of $85-110k.
Responsibilities Include:
Conduct site surveys to collect the information necessary to deploy the system (e.g., as-is and to-be floor plans, network, space/power available/needed, end user information, equipment to be decommissioned)
Prepare site survey reports, including the to-be rack elevations depicting cable / power runs)
Perform / support remediation activities (e.g., installing racks, conduit, cables)
Install equipment in the lab and/or customer site
Perform / support testing (e.g., equipment, configurations)
Uninstall / disposal of legacy equipment
Support end user migration (e.g., deskside and/or telephone support)
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
College degree (B.A./B.S.) along with two (2+) plus years of related network engineering/IT experience/field tech. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Must be a US Citizen with a current DoD Secret clearance or higher. Must be able to maintain a minimum of Secret clearance.
Must have and maintain a current CompTIA Security+ Certification.

Support / troubleshooting
Device maintenance / updating
Site moves / new stand-ups
Network routing
Network switching
Network trouble shooting
Voice gateways and protocols
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with the general IT practices and terminology
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic; self-starter
